It's A Love Story
As Told by Stacey
Colin and I have known each other since kindergarten! We went to school together all the way through 8th grade and were always friends. Fun fact: we were actually each other’s very first boyfriend and girlfriend in 5th grade! After going our separate ways for high school, we lost touch.
Fast forward 15 years to 2023. After taking a long break from social media, I rejoined Instagram and started reconnecting with old friends, Colin included. He left my friend request sitting there for a few months, and I nearly forgot about it… until one day, he accepted and sent me a DM. We started catching up, and quickly realized we had both made our way back to Jacksonville after several years.
I invited Colin to church, and we grabbed breakfast afterward. As I was about to drive away, he asked if I was seeing anyone before proceeding to ask me on an official date. Just a few weeks later, we officially became a couple, and there’s been no looking back since. We’re so grateful our paths crossed not just once, but twice in this lifetime, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.
FAQs
Are there any other wedding festivities to know about?
Yes, we definitely want to spend more quality time with our friends and family! We’ll be hosting a welcome party in Fernandina Beach the day before the wedding. Additional details will be shared soon.
Where do I RSVP?
Our RSVP button will be available right here on the website once invitations are sent out. Please check back then to submit your response.
When is the RSVP Deadline?
Kindly reply before October 5th. If we don't hear from you by then, we will assume you aren't able to attend and will miss you very much!
What time should I arrive to the wedding?
Please plan to arrive between 3:30–3:45 PM. Make sure you add a few minutes to your ETA to drive through the property and keep an eye out for the zebra! (Not kidding). Golf carts will be available to transport guests from the parking area to the venue.
May I bring my child/children?
We’ve decided to make our celebration adult-only, with the exception of children in the wedding party. Thank you for understanding!
May I bring a plus one?
Due to our wedding being a more intimate event, we will only be able to accommodate plus ones that are listed on your invitation.
What's the dress code?
We’re envisioning a polished, elegant look—suits or dress shirts with pants for men, and dresses for women. We kindly ask that guests avoid jeans (except Uncle Jay, IYKYK), hats, and any shades of white. Since it’s November, you may want to bring a light sweater or wrap for the cooler evening temperatures.
Where should we stay?
Cottonwood is in a rural area, so all accommodations are a 30–45+ minute drive.
If you're looking for a weekend getaway - Amelia Island or Fernandina Beach offer scenic hotels and Airbnbs.
Quick stay - Airport hotels may be most convenient.
Locals - Feel free to head home afterward if you'd like.
